The USO is at the heart of everything at Fort Hood.
It’s USO volunteers that say goodbye to our troops when they’re deployed from Fort Hood. The food hall at our center is the last place they eat before they leave and the first place they return to.
And when tragedy struck the troops and families at Fort Hood, our center was a sanctuary for them, giving them shelter and comfort until we knew the base was safe.
My name is Sara Lottie – and my job is caring for the troops and families that call USO Fort Hood “home.” Despite thousands of deployments and two tragic shootings, this community’s resiliency proves just how brave these folks really are.
With only six days left to reach our goal, we still need to raise $77,575 to DOUBLE the capacity at Fort Hood for our troops and their families. Your contribution will ensure we can give the troops this important token of our appreciation – the USO center they deserve.
While our troops are away serving this great nation, we care for their families with meals in our cafeteria, movies on our lawn and games for their kids. We are the one constant our troops and their families can always count on.Doubling our capacity means we can do so much more. We need more space to feed troops at meal times and provide a game room for their children.
Offering a safe haven for these families is the least we can do – that’s why I’m asking you to help us reach our goal.
I care so much about this community – thank you in advance for helping us.
