SunCoast Blood Bank to give free movie tickets to donors around Thanksgiving

Sarasota, FL- Sam Woolf, local singer-songwriter, donated his time to help SunCoast Blood Bank (SCBB) during the busy holiday months by taping a public service announcement for television. Sam and SCBB are asking blood and platelet donors to help keep the inventory of blood products ready and available for local patients in need. On November 24, Sam’s PSA will be released on WWSB ABC 7.

To encourage blood and platelet donation during the Thanksgiving holidays, SCBB is offering a special incentive to thank its donors. On November 26, 28 and 29, donate at one of the five SCBB centers and receive a free movie ticket. SCBB must collect 150 units of blood every day, 365 days a year to meet the needs of patients in the community battling cancer, newborns in crisis, surgical patients, and those suffering traumatic injuries.  A complete list of official locations can be found on www.scbb.org or by calling 1-866-97-BLOOD.
