Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is thrilled to announce Emma Stone has extended her acclaimed run as “Sally Bowles” opposite her fellow 2015 Golden Globe nominee Alan Cumming as “Emcee” until February 15, 2015. Cumming will star in the show for the final 12 weeks of the limited engagement. CABARET opened on Broadway on April 24, 2014 and the engagement has been extended twice through March 29, 2015.
Casting for a new “Sally Bowles” will be announced shortly.
Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb’s Tony-winning musical CABARET is directed by Sam Mendes and co-directed/choreographed by Rob Marshall.

By bringing back Cabaret and Alan’s iconic performance to our subscribers last year, we were able to share this classic with a new generation of theatregoers. We thank Alan and are so proud of Michelle Williams and Emma Stone’s Broadway debuts and look forward to announcing one more outstanding actress to play opposite Alan before the musical ends its run on March 29th.”
The cast also features 2014 Tony nominee Linda Emond as Fraulein Schneider, 2014 Tony nominee Danny Burstein as Herr Schultz, Bill Heck as Cliff, Aaron Krohn as Ernst and Hani Furstenberg as Fraulein Kost.
CABARET features a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. It is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.
The Cabaret Kit Kat Klub boys & girls are: Will Carlyon, Kaleigh Cronin, Caleb Damschroder, Benjamin Eakeley, Andrea Goss, Leeds Hill, Kristin Olness, Kelly Paredes, Jessica Pariseau, Dylan Paul, Evan Siegel, Stacey Sipowicz and Katrina Yaukey.
CABARET is playing a limited engagement through March 29, 2015 at the Kit Kat Klub at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).
For this production, Mr. Mendes and Mr. Marshall converted Studio 54 into the gritty Kit Kat Klub with cabaret-type seating as well as traditional theatre seating, to recreate the decadent environment of the notorious pre-war Berlin Nightclub.
The design team includes set and club design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari and sound design by Brian Ronan. Patrick Vaccariello is the Musical Director.
CABARET features some of the best-known songs in musical theatre, including “Willkommen,” “Maybe This Time” and “Cabaret.” John Kander and Fred Ebb are two of the most successful and prolific collaborators in the American Theatre and are currently represented on Broadway with the award-winning revival of Chicago.
Roundabout’s production of CABARET opened on Broadway on March 19, 1998 starring Alan Cumming and Natasha Richardson and won four Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical. Alan Cumming received the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall received Tony nominations for direction and Rob Marshall received a Tony nomination for choreography. The production went on to play for six years and 2, 378 performances before finishing its run on January 4, 2004.
CABARET premiered on Broadway in 1966 and won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, in addition to the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award, the Outer Critics’ Circle Award, the Variety Poll of New York Critics, and London’s Evening Standard Award. The original Broadway production played 1166 performances.

The 2014-2015 Roundabout Underground production is Little Children Dream of God, a new play by Jeff Augustin, directed by Giovanna Sardelli.

Roundabout’s 50th anniversary season in 2015-2016 includes: Noises Off by Michael Frayn, directed by Jeremy Herrin; and Stephen Karam’s The Humans, directed by Joe Mantello; and Keira Knightley making her Broadway debut in a new adaptation of Thérèse Raquin by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Émile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet.
