SUN FEB 20 Brandon Kouri in Concert – This concert will be held in the Roser Church Sanctuary on Sunday at 4:00 PM. Doors open at 3:00. A free-will offering makes it possible to bring you these dynamic events.
Have you ever heard all 50 United States recited in alphabetical order within 20 seconds? How about a recitation of all 118 chemical elements while being accompanied by a Brazilian cuíca drum? Come and hear a variety of piano favorites; from Liszt to Chopin, Billy Joel, and ragtime classics. Plus, a piece that is intended to be played 840 times in a row, and requires a full day to perform! Enjoy the sounds of multiple instruments including organ, piccolo, and slide whistle. Be prepared to experience some magic, along with classic yo-yo tricks, chemistry, and the timeless crackle of an antique Edison cylinder phonograph.
Brandon earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance with minors in Harpsichord, Organ, and French from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Previously he was the choir accompanist at both Sand Creek High School and Director of Music at Sacred Heart Chapel in Penrose Main Hospital for four years in Colorado Springs, CO. Additionally, he served as substitute organist and pianist at East United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs. Brandon had been utilizing these job skills in performing concerts, preparing solo music with students, and playing for musical productions. He has also been involved with recording and editing audio sources for the choir programs. In addition to his musical talents, he is a French tutor and experienced in 3D modeling and animation and 2D traditional animation. His involvement in church music ministry led him to Faith United Methodist Church of Bradenton. After another four years of music ministry service, he was led to discover Roser Memorial Community Church and has been on staff at Roser since December 26, 2019.
