ROCK ON THE RANGE 2014:
AMERICA’S PREMIER ROCK FESTIVAL
SELLS OUT IN ADVANCE
This truly is where Rock lives.
ROCK ON THE RANGE–America’s premier rock festival–is a sell out in advance of this weekend’s eighth annual event. This marks the second consecutive year that the three-day multi-stage music and lifestyle event will be sold-out (last year the festival hosted a sold-out crowd of over 103,000 fans).
Set for May 16, 17 and 18 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH, the 2014 ROTR bill features a potent lineup of bands on three stages and includes closing sets from Guns N’ Roses and Staind on Friday, Avenged Sevenfold and Slayer on Saturday, Kid Rock and Five Finger Death Punch on Sunday. Presented by Danny Wimmer Presents, AEG Live, RockHouse and Crew Stadium, this year’s ROCK ON THE RANGE bill will also feature 60 of the world’s hardest rocking bands including: Seether, Chevelle, Alter Bridge, Mastodon, Black Label Society, Killswitch Engage and many more. This year’s expanded festival offerings also includes the return of ROTR Comedy Tent, featuring Jim Breuer, Jim Florentine, Don Jamieson and many up-and-coming comedians. (The full ROTR bill can be found here: http://rockontherange.com/2014lineup.html).
The ROTR 2014 weekend will kick off with the debut of the Monster Energy Roast On The Range with Corey Taylor. Set for tonight (Thursday, May 15) at LC Pavilion in Columbus, OH, it will honor and lampoon Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor. Nearly a dozen musicians and comedians, led by Roastmaster Sebastian Bach, will participate in the third annual–and first to be held in the heartland–event hosted by Revolver and Guitar World’s Rock & Roll Roast Comedy Series. A separate ticket is required for the event.
ROCK ON THE RANGE is sponsored by Monster Energy, Jagermeister, Ernie Ball, Matador Beef Jerky, F.Y.E., Jack Daniel’s and Crazy Dave’s Music Experience. The nationally renowned festival, part of the World’s Loudest Month Festival Series, is centrally located in the heart of the country and has annually drawn huge weekend crowds since its inception in 2007.
