The program features Milhaud’s Suite for Clarinet, Violin, and Piano; Honegger’s Three Poems by Paul Fort; Georges Auric’s Trio for Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon; Germaine Tailleferre’s Adagio for Violin and Piano; Rondo for Oboe and Piano; and Arabesque for Clarinet and Piano; Louis Durey’s Le bestiaire, Op. 17a for Voice and Piano; and Francis Poulenc’s Sextet, FP 100.
This concert closes out Princeton University Concerts (PUC)’s fall 2023 offerings. PUC’s season will resume in January 2024 with the North American premiere of Mahler Chamber Orchestra’s Future Presence, a ground-breaking concert experience in virtual reality. Part of PUC’s Performances Up Close series, this experiential installation will run Thursday, January 18 through Sunday, January 21 at the Lewis Arts Complex on Princeton’s campus. Other highlights of the upcoming spring season include jazz legend Brad Mehldau, the long-awaited return of the Hagen String Quartet, and the Princeton debut of opera star Golda Schultz.
