X-mas in July.
Project PRIDE SRQ raised money in July to purchase X-mas trees for Pines of Sarasota and ALSO Youth, Both organizations needed new holiday trees! Because we bought the Tree’s in July, we were able to save almost $400! THANK YOU for bringing some holiday cheer to these important community organizations! Wellness Packages.
Project PRIDE made wellness packages for the kids at ALSO Youth to help with quarantine blues. The packages included a Project PRIDE fan, Mini note pad, Pen, Masterpiece by number art kit, Vegan protein bar, Makeup wipe, Face mask, Lip balm, and a Bath bomb. |

Black Lives Matter.
During our 2020 Visionary Awards, Project PRIDE SRQ donated $1000 to Black Lives Matter Sarasota Manatee Chapter. The funds were collected from Project PRIDE’s “Taste of PRIDE” event in June. Project PRIDE believes we can not fight for LGBTQ+ rights if we don’t also fight for the empowerment of our black communities. Black Lives Matter is the civil rights movement of our time, because it addresses a fundamental inequality in our society: that Black lives are too often undervalued. We also believe that it’s critical to provide support to organizations working tirelessly for criminal justice reform and those that assist Black-led institutions.
