We’re looking for local violinists AND violists (ages 8-18) from across Sarasota and Manatee counties and around Florida to come together as a group to play with the PMP String Orchestra under the direction of internationally acclaimed violinist and conductor, Itzhak Perlman!
HOW
Prepare to Audition on:
J. S. Bach’s
Concerto for Two Violins
in D minor, movement 1
(solo line: Violin 1 or Violin 2)
Judges will be looking for:
good intonation
tone quality
consistent rhythm
tempo (quarter note = 80-88)
memorization

There is no fee to participate. Through the generous support of the Eugene and Elizabeth Hull Fund and Justine S. Sprenger Fund of the Manatee Community Foundation, PMP/Suncoast Super Strings is offered free of charge to qualifying participants.
The 2014-2015 PMP/Suncoast Super Strings is the second presentation of this special project of The Perlman Music Program Sarasota Winter Residency, promoting the interaction of local young musicians with international PMP students and world-class faculty.
