Pier 22 Launches Interior Renovation
Downtown Bradenton’s celebrated waterfront restaurant is reinventing its decor and reopening on September 15. The $450,000 renovation will update and upgrade interior decor, interior bar, furniture, flooring and air systems.
(Bradenton, Florida) Pier 22 has always been in a class by itself. Now they’re taking it to the next level. Starting on August 30, the celebrated downtown Bradenton restaurant, known for its waterside dining, stunning views and chef-driven cuisine, is getting a dynamic makeover. The $450,000 renovation will update and upgrade interior decor, furniture, flooring, the kitchen and air systems. Pier 22 will continue to take reservations and special event bookings throughout the renovation process and will reopen to the public on September 15.
Greg Campbell, the restaurant’s executive chef, can hardly wait. “Pier 22 has a fiercely loyal customer base,” he says. “Our guests love our waterfront ambience and creative cuisine. The reinvented decor will only heighten that experience.”
Campbell adds that the upcoming renovation includes state-of-the-art kitchen enhancements, an innovative new bar design, new flooring, lighting and furniture. Diners will keep their cool, thanks to a new, high-tech air-conditioning system. The interior design was developed by Jon and Victoria Moore of Moore2 Design, LLC, who will work closely with Campbell and Pier 22’s owner, Hugh Miller, every step of the way.

Campbell adds that the entire team is “thrilled with the renovation plans. Obviously, the one thing we don’t need to upgrade is the natural beauty of our location. I’m happy to report that the sunsets and the sparkling Manatee River will still be as awe-inspiring as ever. Now we’re creating an inside as inspiring as the outside. We sweated the details. Along with the physical makeover, Campbell will also offer some inventive new cuisine selections for his fall menu. “We’re keeping all of the signature dishes our patrons are passionate about, and adding some brand new flavors to fall in love with.” Campbell’s the brains behind these flavors, of course. He was honored as one of the country’s top culinary talents in the inaugural edition of Best Chefs America, and is critically celebrated for his seasonally focused, new American cuisine that integrates locally sourced ingredients.
Located directly on the Manatee River on Bradenton’s historic Memorial Pier, Pier 22 offers indoor and al fresco dining with a seasonally focused menu that includes award-winning sushi, local fish, hand-cut prime steaks, and wild game.
