It’s the hunting heart trying to survive

PAPER ROUTE celebrated a new career milestone last night as they made their national TV debut on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.“ The Nashville-based alt-rock trio performed their intoxicating new single, “Balconies,“ off their recently released full-length album Real Emotion (RAL/Sony Music Ent.). This transfixing performance comes as the band is getting ready to hit the road for a national tour alongside K.Flay (“Blood In The Cut”), kicking off this Saturday (2/4) in Las Vegas (full itinerary below).

Real Emotion — featuring the singles “Balconies,” “Laugh About It,“ “Chariots“ and “Writing On The Wall” — was released September 23rd on RAL/Sony Music Ent. Blending digital-age pop/rock with ambient vocals over 16-tracks, the album was produced and written by JT Daly (vocals, keyboards, percussion), Chad Howat (bass, piano, programming) and Nick Aranda (guitar) and is available now on all digital platforms and as a double vinyl (purchase links below).
“Balconies” is impacting Alternative radio now with early spins in Nashville, Denver, San Diego and Kansas City, and more jumping on board. PAPER ROUTE‘s last single “Chariots” saw Alternative radio airplay over the summer, after premiering at E3 as the official track for the FIFA 17 – Official Gameplay Trailer (over 6.6 million views) and being featured on several Spotify playlists, including New Noise, Indie Pop and FIFA 17 Soundtrack. Check out the “Chariots” animation lyric video here.
PAPER ROUTE first conjured up their melody-driven take on electronic-leaning alt-rock back in 2004. They released their full-length debut Absence in 2009 and their second LP The Peace Of Wild Things in 2012. Charged with the raw energy that PAPER ROUTE has revealed in touring the world with bands like Imagine Dragons, Passion Pit, Paramore and Mutemath, Real Emotion achieves that feeling in part by making guitars central to its intricately crafted arrangements.
