Pan Arcadia Announces Save the Scene NYC Benefit Concert
New York City rock band Pan Arcadia has partnered with the non-profit Sweet Relief, The New York Independent Venue Association (NYIVA), City Winery, Sonicbids, Popgun Presents, Arlene’s Grocery, and the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment to produce Save the Scene NYC. The digital benefit concert will provide urgent assistance to NYC musicians and crew affected by COVID-19.
Donations to Save the Scene NYC will go directly towards medical care, lodging, clothing, food and other essential living expenses stemming from the pandemic. In 1993 Lou Reed performed at the first Sweet Relief fundraiser. To mark Lou’s birthday on March 2nd, more than 40 local artists are rallying to support their fellow performers and celebrate the vibrancy of independent music. Performances will span March 2nd and 3rd.
Pan Arcadia will release their Weeks Ago EP on March 1st, 2021. Written and recorded while quarantined together in close quarters, the band’s first EP evokes the turbulence of their plagued 2020s.
