NYC Independent Film Festival
Now Accepting Submissions for 2018
NEW YORK, NY – MAY 11, 2017 – After wrapping up a successful 8th year, the NYC Independent Film Festival (NYCIndieFF) is now accepting submissions for their 9th annual fest, taking place May 6th-13th, 2018! The earlybird deadline, featuring a discounted submission fee, is August 31st, 2017. Submission categories include Documentary Feature, Narrative Feature, Short Documentary, Short Film, Super Short Film, Music Video, Animation, Short Script Contest and Art/Experimental Film, as well as a new Virtual Reality category. The 8th annual NYCIndieFF took place this year from May 1st to May 7th in the heart of New York City. The festival hosted screenings of over 250 films, in addition to a number of networking events, panels and seminars. Among the new additions to this year’s festival was an expanded Virtual Reality Experience and the NYCIndieFF Voices Exhibit Project, both of which will be returning in 2018.
The NYCIndieFF provides a showcase for the best in independent cinema, including short films, feature films, music videos and animated works. With panels, parties and a week-long gathering of fellow indie filmmakers, the 9th Annual NYCIndieFF will promote an open and nurturing environment for artists, writers, actors, filmmakers and fans.
