June 17-21, 2015
NXNE Interactive, which spotlights vanguards in technology, music, film, and trendsetting, has partnered with MaRS Discovery District, which is dedicated to driving economic and societal prosperity through innovation, as NXNE’s Festival Headquarters June 17-21, 2015.
“This partnership will mark an important milestone in NXNE’s growth,” said NXNE Festival Director Christopher Roberts. “We are excited to have a home where innovation is the priority year round.”
NXNE will house delegate registration, exclusive parties and all NXNE Interactive panels, presentations and keynote addresses at MaRS, a 1.5-million-square-foot complex, located at 101 College Street, in the heart of Canada’s largest research cluster in downtown Toronto.
“MaRS is thrilled to host the 2015 NXNE Festival and its performers, presenters and attendees,” said MaRS VP Partnerships Karen Greve Young. “The intersection between technology and the arts inspires innovation, and we welcome the opportunity to bring business, technology, arts and culture leaders together to share ideas and make vital connections.”
NXNE 2015 will also include an exciting new partnership with Pitchfork, the leading music magazine in the world.
“Participating in last year’s NXNE was both rewarding and eye opening. I was able to see first hand what a truly amazing city Toronto is, and more so, what a unique and forward thinking festival NXNE is and is building” said Pitchfork President Chris Kaskie. “We’re excited to bring in our unique perspective, and we’re thrilled to be working alongside such good people to figure out how that will look.“
NXNE invites musicians to apply for a chance to be a part of one of the world’s premier arts festivals. Submissions will be accepted at www.nxne.com until January 31, 2015.
