New Nebraska Soccer and Tennis Complex to Feature Daktronics Equipment

BROOKINGS, S.D. – June 15, 2015 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has been contracted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to provide LED technology for the new soccer and tennis complex that is currently under construction. The new tennis facility has separate indoor and outdoor courts and is receiving multiple scoreboards for these facilities while the soccer facility will receive a video and scoring display.

The new video display for the soccer field measures approximately 15.5 feet high by 27.5 feet wide and incorporates a 15HD pixel layout. This display features excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility while providing industry-leading environmental protection. It features variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image to highlight live video and instant replays, and also allows it to divide into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.

The indoor tennis facility is receiving one multi-court scoreboard and six individual fixed-digit scoreboards while the outdoor facility is receiving two multi-court scoreboards and 12 individual fixed-digit scoreboards. These scoreboards help provide an overview of each match while providing more detailed information at each court. They will provide standard tennis match information for athletes and fans.

“Daktronics appreciates the opportunity to work with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on their new soccer and tennis facility,” said Daktronics Sales Representative Matt Warnke. “This will be a premier facility and we are excited about our role in helping to enhance the game-day experience and informing and entertaining fans.”
