MINI DOUGHNUT FACTORY CELEBRATES
NATIONAL DOUGHNUT DAY WITH THE SALVATION ARMY
Tampa, Fla. (May 25, 2017) – In celebration of National Doughnut Day on Friday,
June 2, Mini Doughnut Factory (MDF) will donate a percentage of the day’s
proceeds to Salvation Army’s Children’s Services programs. Founders Patrick and
Zezura Ruddell will also deliver doughnuts to the children and staff at Salvation
Army’s Sally’s House and Children’s Village in St. Petersburg, FL on Thursday, June 1 at
10 A.M. Media is welcome to attend.
As the national holiday was originally created to honor women that served
doughnuts to soldiers during World War I, the Salvation Army Lassies, MDF is going
back to the holiday’s roots. On Thursday, MDF founders will personally deliver
doughnuts to the children and staff. During the visit, the children will create their own
mini doughnut creation. Guests are encouraged to join in the celebration by
purchasing doughnuts in the South Tampa store on Friday, June 2. A percentage of
the day’s sales will then be doughnated to support the Salvation Army’s efforts.
