Manatee Technical College, along with CareerSource Suncoast and Goodwill Manasota have partnered to offer a 9-week training program in construction. This course has been designed to provide entry level skills for individuals to gain employment in the local construction industry. On Monday, April 6, 2015, CareerSource Suncoast will host an orientation to determine if individuals are qualified to receive a scholarship for this program.
The class is 6 hours per day and will cover basic safety, construction math, intro to hand and power tools, intro to construction drawing, basic rigging, intro to materials handling and basic communication and employability skills. Students will receive NCCER certification as well as OSHA and forklift certification.
The orientation is Monday, April 6 and begins at 2 p.m. at CareerSource Suncoast, 1112 Manatee Ave. E., Bradenton. No RSVP is needed. If you have questions please call (941) 358-4080.
