The state of Nevada is known for its extremes, from the brutal heat of its deserts to the over-the-top opulence of Las Vegas. This week, legendary DJ/producer Carl Cox will embark on a journey from one extreme to the other as he performs on ‘the playa’ aka Black Rock Desert for Burning Man before heading to Las Vegas for his residency show at LIGHT, the state-of-the-art nightclub powered by Cirque du Soleil at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, on August 31.
Burning Man leads into Labor Day Weekend, one of the biggest party weekends in Las Vegas. In addition to Carl Cox, expect serious nighttime getdowns at LIGHT with Clockwork with Tony Arzadon Wednesday, August 27, Thomas Gold Friday, August 29 and newly announced Alesso on Saturday, August 30 in addition to his DAYLIGHT Beach Club set that day. Other DJs on deck for DAYLIGHT—LIGHT’s sister club at Mandalay Bay–are Norman Doray Friday, August 29 and Trey Songz Sunday, August 31. Nicky Romero will round out his Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, August 31 with a set for ECLIPSE, DAYLIGHT Beach Club’s nighttime pool party.
