Junior League of Sarasota Now Accepting Community Projects and Community Grant Applications
SARASOTA, FL – July 29, 2021 – The Junior League of Sarasota (JLS) invites local nonprofit organizations to apply for Community Projects and Community Grants.
JLS Community Projects serve Sarasota County and can be completed by JLS members in one day or less. Our Done-in-a-Day Committee plans and coordinates selected community partner projects, providing hands-on service opportunities for our members. JLS has partnered with more than 30 local nonprofits on various projects.
Each year, in addition to community projects, JLS awards thousands of dollars in community grant funding to Sarasota area nonprofits, for projects that align with JLS’s initiatives and support its mission of “improving community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.” The JLS 2021-2022 initiatives are focused on programs that support families, women, children, and young adults aging out of foster care. Special consideration will go towards organizations that have been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 Crisis.
Local nonprofit organizations are invited to apply. Applications are available online at: www.jlsarasota.org/community. Community grant applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on August 1, 2021. Community project applications must be submitted by 11:59 on August 20, 2021.
