March is a special month for Colorado Symphony Music Director Andrew Litton. His long-awaited release, A Tribute to Oscar Peterson, was released by BIS Records on March 4. World renowned as a conductor as well as a classical pianist, Andrew is also a lover of traditional American blue and jazz.
In this special reception, Andrew will perform select tunes from the release — which features improvisations of classics by Thelonius Monk, George Gershwin and others. Andrew will also share thoughts on what made Peterson one of the greats.
We invite you and a guest to join us in celebrating with Andrew this Sunday at 6:30 pm, on stage at Boettcher Concert Hall. A cash bar will be available. We promise you’ll enjoy the time you spend with Maestro Litton.
