Jeremy Irons has won the Emmy for best narration for Dereck and Beverly Joubert’s latest National Geographic film “Game Of Lions.” This was Irons’ seventh project with the Jouberts on which he lends his voice talents. Others narration credits with the Jouberts include – “The Unlikely Leopard,” “Eye Of The Leopard,” and “The Last Lions.” This marks the eighth Emmy Award for the films of award–winning filmmakers and conservationists, Dereck and Beverly Joubert.

“Jeremy is a close friend and collaborator on our films, and has done seven voice overs on our films in the past 14 years. We leave each one enriched by the experience and with a deeper appreciation for the professionalism and intelligence he brings to the process. Some would think this makes it difficult for a director, I don’t, I think it elevates the final film to Emmy Award–winning levels, like we see here in Game of Lions.” – Dereck Joubert, Producer and Director of Game of Lions.

“What makes our work with Jeremy resonate with authority and understanding is his relentless insistence on understanding each sentence, each word he delivers. Jeremy is a big cat expert as a result and that makes a difference, it makes what he reads believable. When you develop a relationship based on trust and professionalism it endures beyond that present piece of work and in many ways Jeremy has become the voice of our films.” – Beverly Joubert, Producer.
