WHAT:           Last night GRAMMY Award-nominated singer-songwriter, performer and producer, Janelle Monáe, brought the house down at a special concert as part of the iHeartRadio Live series, a Clear Channel entertainment production that features performances from today’s top artists.  The exclusive live performance celebrated her second album, “The Electric Lady,” which was recently released in September. The electric show was broadcast live on-air as a 30-minute special on Urban Adult Contemporary (AC), Urban Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) and Rhythmic station sites, with a 60-minute live video stream presented by McDonalds online across station websites and iHeartRadio.com

Janelle Monae treated her fans to a first listen of her upbeat, dance tune “What is Love?,” which is featured as the opening song in the highly anticipated animation film Rio 2. She continued to dazzle the crowd with songs like “Dance Apocalyptic,” “Q.U.E.E.N,” “Electric Lady,” and the ever so popular “Tightrope.” Other highlights from the evening include Janelle getting the entire audience to the floor, then jumping into the crowd where she danced with fans. She kicked it up a notch and capped the evening off by leading fans through the iHeartRadio Theater to the streets of Los Angeles where they continued to dance the night away!
