JADE RELEASES DEBUT EP PINK
TODAY, AUGUST 25
Singer-Songwriter Prepping For Her Second EP to be Released This Fall
Los Angeles, CA (August 25, 2017) – JADE —emerging, indie-pop artist—released her debut EP PINK today, August 25, 2017. The 9-track EP brings the singer-songwriter’s artful amalgam of ethereal indie and electropop to life, taking listeners on a melodic adventure created by JADE’s harmonies, reminiscent of Billie Eilish, Halsey, and Maggie Rogers. The EP is available for purchase via iTunes HERE, Amazon, and streaming on Spotify. Fans can expect JADE’s follow up EP in November (date TBA).
PINK symbolizes the end of an era for the 19 year old singer-songwriter. Having written songs since age 8, her lyrics exhibit an insight beyond her years, all while still being firmly ingrained in the experience of being young. All the songs on the new EP were written in different points of her life, with each having an entirely different mindset behind them. “PINK is where I landed after going through the phases of growing up and changing to accept myself,” said JADE. The EP’s title can attest to that. She explains, “I ran away from the color pink for as long as I can remember. Not because of the color itself, but because of what it represented. Or, what I thought it represented. I know who I am and what I’m about, and I got tired of running from things I should have been embracing.” It took her writing and recording all the songs of the EP to realize a new acceptance for who she is.

July 17 saw the release of the EP’s lead single “Find A Place.” Impose Magazine premiered the video for the track and raved, “Jade’s voice is flawless and beautiful. This track is guaranteed to be stuck in your head.” The mystical video has now garnered over 50k views on YouTube. Lyrically, says JADE, “it’s about being in a relationship that you know is destined to fail and wanting to escape somewhere to try and make it work.” As JADE mentions from her interview with Vents Magazine, the song comes from a place of daydreaming. “It’s all about wanting to get away from reality with someone you care about,” said JADE.
JADE first burst onto the music scene in 2016 with her debut song “Yesterday” which had amassed more than 100,000 views, as well as thousands of shares and comments, within just a few days of releasing the video for the track. Now, with the release of PINK, JADE says, “I hope when people listen, they think ‘damn, I know exactly what that’s like.’”
