“Music has told this male-female love story a million times and will tell it a million more before the world loses interest in music. However, it only represents a portion of all that human love can be…[Instant Love] is attempting to broaden this conversation” – Mic.com

Instant Records has released the newest song from their empowerment-focused Instant Love project – PRESS HERE to listen to Rachel Fannan‘s dreamy take on The Beach Boys’ “Don’t Worry Baby” via Brooklyn Vegan. The song was produced by Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes and joins Instant Love’s living album playlist as the project’s sixth release. PRESS HERE to listen to the living album. Created by Richard Gottehrer (renowned songwriter, producer and founder of The Orchard and Instant Records) and Instant Records’ Allison Zatarain, Instant Love is a collection of classic love songs originally sung by men about women, reimagined in dynamic new ways by female vocalists. “Don’t Worry Baby” is available for purchase now on all DSPs, PRESS HERE to stream/purchase.
“‘Don’t Worry Baby’ is definitely one of the most iconic love songs,” Rachel Fannan said of her soothing rearrangement of the instantly recognizable song. “With the outcome of the election and how tumultuous the campaign season was, I think it’s so important for people to show each other care right now. A delicate song or long hug can really pick someone up. We need compassion just as much as we need action and awareness.”
Launched on International Women’s Day, Instant Love aims to empower female artists who are unafraid of breaking the boundaries of the status quo, highlight women’s unique voices and perspectives, and kickstart a dialogue about unity, creativity and celebration of the power of love between women, mothers, sisters, friends, lovers and everything in between. In partnership with The Orchard, Instant Love will release a new song every two weeks with an impactful female vocalist from across genres alongside original artwork by Rebecca Morehiser.
