WHAT:           

Join us for the final Inside Asolo Rep of the 2013-14 season. Facilitated by Asolo Rep’s Literary Manager/Dramaturg Lauryn Sasso, this insightful event will feature 4000 Miles Director Tea Alagić, who also directed Asolo Rep’s 2013 hit production of Venus in FurMs. Alagić will be accompanied by another special guest from the production of  4000 Miles, which opens April 2 in the Historic Asolo Theater and runs through April 27. 

WHO:
TEA ALAGIĆ (Director, 4000 Miles) Recent work includes: Romeo and Juliet (Classic Stage Company); Venus in Fur (Asolo Rep); Jackie (Women’s Project, City Center Stage II); The Brothers Size (The Old Globe); A Light Design (Baryshnikov Art Center); Petty Harbour (Carlotta Festival Yale); Man Of La Mancha book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion, music by Mitch Leigh (Burning Coal Theatre Company); Waking Up (EST, NYC); Anonymous (Hispanic Cultural Center); The Marriage Of Maria Braun (ZKM, Croatia); Binibon  (The Kitchen, NYC); Events with Life’s Leftovers (Dramafest, Mexico City); and Aliens With Extraordinary Skills (Women’s Project, NYC). She directed the world premiere of The Brothers Size by Tarell McCraney at The Public Theater, NYC, and later productions at The Studio Theatre (DC), and The Abbey Theatre (Dublin). Her original devised work includes The Filament Cycle, which performed at La Mama ETC, NYC, the 4+4 Festival in Prague, BAC London, Philadelphia, Colorado, Denver, and Potsdam; and Zero Hour, about the Balkan War. She was Associate Artistic Director of the Ensemble Company for the Performing Arts in New Haven, where she directed Woyzek, Self–Accusation, Preparadise Sorry Now, Baal, and Zero Hour. Alagić holds a BFA in acting from The Charles University in Prague and an MFA in directing from Yale School of Drama.
