For the past six months HuffPost Arts & Culture Editor Katherine Brooks and Photo Editor Damon Dahlen have gone on a tour of ballerinas’ apartments across New York City for an intimate series of photographs that show a different side of ballet.
Without their costumes and tights, dancers including Kathryn Boren, Skylar Brandt, Ingrid Silva and Ebony Williams opened up about what makes a personal sanctuary and what helps them unwind after a big performance.
