Los Angeles – January 12, 2018 – HDNET MOVIES counts down to Hollywood’s biggest night with an award-winning lineup in the second-annual “And The Oscar® Goes To… Presented By Richard Roeper” event—featuring nothing but Oscar®-winning films 24 hours a day, uncut and commercial-free from Sunday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, March 4, the evening of the 90TH Academy Awards®. The epic 75-film event will once again be hosted by acclaimed film critic Richard Roeper, who will guide viewers on a comprehensive journey featuring some of cinema’s finest works and most legendary stars.
The awards season line-up puts the spotlight on a wide variety of eras, genres, and categories, featuring Best Picture winners such as NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN (Feb. 2), BIRDMAN (Feb. 9), BRAVEHEART (Feb. 18), and THE STING (Feb. 25); Best Actress winners Susan Sarandon in DEAD MAN WALKING (Feb. 2), Hillary Swank in MILLION DOLLAR BABY (Feb. 11), and Barbra Streisand in FUNNY GIRL (Feb. 23); Best Actor winners William Holden in STALAG 17 (Feb. 6), Daniel Day-Lewis in THERE WILL BE BLOOD (Feb. 9), and Humphrey Bogart in THE AFRICAN QUEEN (Feb. 26); and a pair of historic Best Director winners featuring Kathryn Bigelow—the first woman to win the award—for THE HURT LOCKER (Feb. 26) and Ang Lee—the first Taiwanese man to win the award—for BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (Feb. 18).
