I hope this Newsletter finds you all well, and that you had a musical summer.
GuitarSarasota has grown over the last years, and with the advent of our 9th season, we had to make the bittersweet decision to move our International Concert Series from Saint Paul Lutheran Church to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota. Our new location on Fruitville Road has several upgrades, which became more and more necessary. We’ll have a slightly larger venue, more comfortable seating, better visibility, and finally, rest rooms that are not located inside the performance venue. All this, while still maintaining the intimate atmosphere of GuitarSarasota’s concerts. Together with an outstanding selection of artists from all over the world, we are fortunate to call the Unitarian Universalist Church GuitarSarasota’s new home.
If you are a Season Subscriber, expect a phone call from us for your renewal. If you would like to become a Season Subscriber, new subscription sales start on November 10, 2014. Individual ticket sales start on December 13, 2014 – just in time for the holidays!
Monday, November 10, 2014 at 7:30 pm, we will kick-off GuitarSarasota’s Mini-Concert & Lecture Series, as always, at Art Center Sarasota. This is free, open to the public, and no reservations are necessary. This Series is just one way GuitarSarasota gives back to the community.
I am looking forward to another great season.
GuitarSarasota thanks the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County as we are the proud recipient of an 2014/15 Opportunity Grant. Receiving this grant for the second time, GuitarSarasota is able to offer our community, free Mini-Concert & Lecture Series events at Art Center Sarasota.
Please remember to support classical guitar music by becoming a member of GuitarSarasota, by bringing a friend, as well as making a donation of any kind.
Best wishes,
Thomas Koch, President, GuitarSarasota
