Jazz Guitarist Nate Najar Added To Classic’s Headliner Lineup
GREAT NEWS — After he was able to shift some previously scheduled dates, jazz guitarist NATE NAJAR agreed to make his debut appearance at the Classic as one of the headliners who will perform at the Nov. 21-23 Suncoast Jazz Classic. He recently performed to a sold-out audience at the Palladium in St. Petersburg. Nate has been a headliner at numbers of festivals and music events throughout the country. He’s noted for reintroducing the finger-style nylon string classical guitar techniques to a new generation of music lovers. He has a passion for all music from traditional jazz, blues, gospel and those with Brazilian beats which is evident on his recordings with Stan Getz and his CD of “Groove Me” which was a Top 10 hit in 2011. Nate’s appearance adds another musical dimension to the festival which now features traditional and contemporary jazz, swing, ragtime, rhythm & blues, & zydeco/Cajun. Joining Nate will be the jazz vocalist Theo Valentin, who also is new to the Classic. This should be one of those get-your-seat-early shows you shouldn’t miss.
