DENVER – April 8, 2015 – Fathom Events and Rhino Entertainment are thrilled to bring legendary rock band, the Grateful Dead, back to the big screen for the 5th annual event, “Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies 2015.”  The third title in Fathom Events’ “Classic Music Series” comes to select movie theaters nationwide on Monday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. local time. This year’s can’t-miss Meet-Up features the previously unreleased Grateful Dead concert from the July 19, 1989 show at Alpine Valley.  Recorded live from the legendary concert venue in East Troy, Wisconsin, this exclusive cinema event captures the Grateful Dead, featuring Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Brent Mydland, and Bob Weir, in a peak era of energy and chemistry on stage. The “Grateful Dead Meet Up at the Movies” serves as an annual opportunity for lifelong Dead Heads to reconnect as well as a chance for new fans or those curious about the scene to experience the euphoria of seeing the Grateful Dead live.

Tickets for “Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies 2015” are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com. The event will be presented in more than 400 select movie theaters around the country through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network. “Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies 2015” arrives with the band in the midst of their 50th Anniversary celebration. The show features many classic tracks from their celebrated catalogue, including “Sugaree,” “Morning Dew,” “West L.A. Fadeaway,” “Box Of Rain,” and “Terrapin Station,” plus renditions of band favorites such as the Bob Dylan’s “Desolation Row,” and many more.
