Experience the Unsolved Extraterrestrial Mystery of
the Phoenix Lights as ‘The Phoenix Incident’ Flashes
Into Movie Theaters for One Night on March 10
Fathom Events and Concourse Media Present the Story of the Phoenix Lights
Plus Exclusive Roundtable Discussion Featuring The World’s Foremost UFO Experts
DENVER – February 8, 2016 – Fathom Events and Concourse Media present one of the most out-of-this-world events of the year with “The Phoenix Incident.” Revisit the possible UFO sighting in Phoenix, Arizona 19 years ago with this heart-pounding thriller that blurs the fantasy and reality of what first-hand witnesses experienced. In addition to the event, audiences will enjoy an exclusive, never-before-seen panel discussion between UFO thought leaders on possible government cover-ups, fresh from the 2016 International UFO Congress.
From Keith Arem, the talent director of AAA video games “Call of Duty” and “Titanfall,” the event will invite audiences to commemorate this other-worldly happening and experience a special introduction video that features exclusive footage from real-life witness accounts, all in select U.S. cinemas on Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. local time.
Tickets for “The Phoenix Incident” can be purchased online beginning Friday, February 12 by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in select movie theaters through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network. A complete list of theater locations will be available on the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
“I grew up in Arizona, close to where the Lights took place, and I’ve since been captivated by the events and the need for transparency. Presidential candidates are demanding government disclosure of UFO incidents and I hope audiences leave the theater with voracious curiosity for answers,” said writer-director Keith Arem. “I’m so excited to bring ‘The Phoenix Incident’ to cinemas nationwide with Fathom Events.”
On March 13, 1997 thousands of people simultaneously witnessed unexplainable lights in the Phoenix, Arizona night sky. Among those witnesses was Fife Symington, the state governor at the time. To this day the Phoenix Lights remain a mystery and footage from this incident has been used in numerous documentaries on the subject of UFOs. “The Phoenix Incident” is based on this real-life event. Starring famed gaming actor, Troy Baker, the event uses whistleblower testimony, recovered military footage and eyewitness accounts to create this sci-fi thriller and explore the U.S. military’s alleged engagement of alien space crafts.
“Fathom is incredibly excited to put Keith Arem’s directorial debut into theaters this spring. Not only is it an excellent opportunity to show a new take on the Phoenix Lights, but this event will also explore first-hand stories through a panel discussion and additional exclusive documentary.” said Fathom Events Vice President of Programming Kymberli Frueh.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Fathom Events on this supernatural thrill-ride,” said Concourse Media co-Partner James Andrew Felts. “It’s an honor to bring Keith’s vision, accompanied by riveting bonus content, to a wide audience on one special night.”
