Epic Chef Showdown Finale to be broadcast live and on-demand on The Identity Tampa Bay

 

TAMPA BAY – The Epic Chef Showdown Finale presented by Florida Blue will be broadcast live and on-demand on The Identity Tampa Bay (a new full-service digital network that is a lifestyle and sports hub for all things Tampa Bay) this Monday, August 27.

 

Epicurean Hotel and Feeding Tampa Bay welcomed back the Epic Chef initiative earlier this year for its fourth consecutive season as part of their partnership to fight hunger in the Tampa Bay community.

At 6:30 p.m. this coming Monday, the Epic Chef Showdown Finale will pit two of the bay area’s hottest restaurants – Mise en Place and The Mill – in a battle for the Epic Chef crown.  Hosted by former MasterChef contestant Jeff Philbin, the two competing chefs will receive a mystery box of ingredients that are not commonly prepared together and will be challenged to create two dishes that are unique, aesthetically pleasing, and of course delicious, under the pressure of the clock.

 

When time is up, the chefs will present their prepared dishes to the judges to be critiqued and scored. At the close of the final round, one contestant will be named the Epic Chef.

 

Remember, every chef is an author and every meal tells a story. When you share your meal with another, you share moments that cannot be replaced.  Donate your plate by texting PLATE to 74121 and share a meal with a family in need. Donations of $25 or more will be entered to win either a night’s stay at the Epicurean Hotel, Autograph Collection and $100 food and beverage credit, a 4-course meal for six (6) people courtesy of Chef Jeff Philbin, or two (2) opening night Tampa Bay Lightning tickets and a signed Lightning jersey! The three (3) lucky winners will be announced on the live stream during the finale on August 27.

 

Those not in attendance at the Epic Chef kitchen at the Epicurean Hotel can watch the action live and on-demand on several different devices, including through the TheIdentityTB.com website, iOS and Android apps, and also on Roku and Apple TV, which are all downloadable by searching “IdentityTB.”

 

The finale will begin with interviews and special guests starting at 6:30 p.m. Viewers who are unable to watch each episode live will have the opportunity to tune in for an on-demand version of each episode on The Identity platforms starting the next day.
