Thursday, April 24th at 7:30PM, two of the world’s finest guitar virtuosos, Eliot Fisk and Paco Peña, return to 92Y for an adventurous recital featuring the artists’ transcriptions of works by Bach, Scarlatti and Mendelssohn as well as flamenco pieces and additional solo performances to be announced from the stage. Eliot Fisk and Paco Peña have been named “the king of the American classical guitar,” by The New Yorker (Fisk) and described as having “technical abilities beyond the frets of mortal man,” by The New York Times (Peña). I hope you will consider covering this event.
This concert marks the start of an American tour and supports a groundbreaking crossover project of the launch of their first duo recording, with works spanning both classical and flamenco styles.
