ELC AWARDED $8,000 GRANT FROM CONQUISTADOR HISTORICAL FOUNDATION

Palmetto, Florida, January 7th, 2019 – The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County (ELC) has been awarded a $8,000 grant from the Conquistador Historical Foundation to support its programs.
Through the Conquistador Historical Foundation, the Hernando de Soto Historical Society is able to financially support various local organizations and community charities, particularly those with youth educational programming initiatives.
Sharon Oakes, ELC Chief Operations Officer, said: “The Coalition is so grateful for the support of the Conquistador Historical Foundation. We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the the Hernando de Soto Historical Society over many years. This investment will allow us to continue to enhance the lives of the 5000 local children we serve annually through our various programs and initiatives.”
The ELC partners every year with the Hernando de Soto Historical Society as the sponsor of the Children’s Parade and Party in the Park. The Parade will take place on Friday, April 19 in Palmetto with the Party in the Park immediately afterwards in Sutton Park.
