EDEN TO PERFORM AT MAJOR U.S. FESTIVALS THIS SUMMER, INCLUDING GOVERNORS BALL, BONNAROO, AND FIREFLY
TOUR KICKS OFF TOMORROW MAY 20TH WITH APPEARANCE AT SKYLINE FESTIVAL IN LOS ANGELES
i think you think too much of me EP Out Now On Astralwerks
May 19th, 2017 – (Hollywood, CA) – EDEN will perform at several major U.S. music festivals this summer, including Bunbury, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Firefly, in addition to Fuji Rock in Japan and at the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK. The Dublin-based vocalist/producer/multi-instrumentalist kicks off his tour with an appearance at Skyline: Art, Music, Food tomorrow, May 20th, at the Los Angeles State Historic Park with headliner Miike Snow. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
Last year EDEN, AKA 21-year-old Jonathon Ng, released his EP i think you think too much of me – out now on Astralwerks – which found him channeling his passion for innovation into a guitar-heavy take on electronic pop and proving himself to be an artist of uncompromising originality. The lead single “sex” was hailed by Consequence of Sound as a “vulnerable synth-tinted pop track that’s about so much more than what’s happening between the sheets,” while Pigeons & Planes called “drugs” “another strong showing from this emerging talent.” YourEDM said “EDEN’s second studio EP doesn’t simply live up to the expectations set by his debut, End Credits, it absolutely crushes them.” The four main tracks on i think you think too much of me have racked up a collective 32 million streams on Spotify while the seven track EP hit #1 on iTunes Alternative Charts, #7 on the Top Album Charts and #2 on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart.
Ng learned to play violin at age seven at the urging of his parents and through classical training, discovered his natural musicality. He then began learning new instruments on his own and discovered a passion for songwriting. From the bedroom of his childhood home he began to cultivate a large online following, and establish in his own mind the vision for EDEN’s future. In August 2015 EDEN made his debut with End Credits and – despite making zero effort to promote it – soon found the EP gaining major attention and ultimately amassing more than 120 million streams as well as selling out his first US tour. That momentum continued to build as EDEN released a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” in November 2015, a soulfully cinematic track that hit #1 on HypeM’s popular chart and racked up a million cumulative streams in one week.
EDEN’s upcoming tour dates are as follows:

“…there’s a secret depth to his sound that’s belied by the simplistic titles.”

“With massive pop electronic production and emotive vocals, “drugs” is another strong showing from this emerging talent, and the cinematic video does it justice.”

“[sex] is a vulnerable synth-tinted pop track that’s about so much more than what’s happening between the sheets.”

“EDEN’s big, triumphant, Lorde-approved “sex” is a song you need in your life.
