Due to strong ticket sales, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra adds a fourth performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony

INDIANAPOLIS – Due to strong ticket sales for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s concerts featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, a fourth performance will be added on Thursday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m., at the Hilbert Circle Theatre. Tickets for this performance are now on sale and can be purchased through the ISO Box Office at (317) 639-4300 or online at www.IndianapolisSymphony.org.

 

Led by ISO Music Director Krzysztof Urbański, the ISO opens the concert with Witold Lutosławski’s Symphony No. 4, the renowned Polish composer’s last major work before he died in 1992.  After intermission, the ISO, vocalists Aga Mikolaj (Soprano), Abigal Nims (Alto), Eric Barry (Tenor), Daniel Okulitch (Bass-Baritone) and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir will present Beethoven’s choral masterpiece, his Symphony No. 9 in D Minor (“Choral”).
