DATSIK ANNOUNCES ‘NINJA NATION 2017 TOUR’ WITH CRIZZLY AND VIRTUAL RIOT; IN SUPPORT OF ‘SENSEI’ EP OUT NEXT MONTH ON FIREPOWER RECORDS

Armed with shaolin bass from the infamous PK-Sound, new bass hip-hop producer DATSIK announces today (November 18) his return to the road with the “Ninja Nation 2017 Tour,” in support of his new EP SENSEI out next month on Firepower Records.  Kicking off Friday, January 13 at the Royal Oak Theatre, the North American tour continues east featuring two consecutive plays at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall and a performance at New York’s Playstation Theatre before moving west and wrapping at Reno’s Cargo Concert Hall.  Joining DATSIK will be Crizzly and Virtual Riot with special guests to be added to select dates.  Full tour itinerary is below with more dates to be added soon.

Themed after his obsession with ninja culture previously marked by his 2015 ‘Ninja Nation Tour,’ DATSIK brings with him a new high-tech production to the 2017 edition called “The Shogun.” “The Shogun stage is the next chapter and is an amalgamation of my wildest vision to date,” says DATSIK.  “After touring with the Vortex, I’ve wanted to create something unique that will stand out from the rest, and embody what it is to be a rave ninja. We’ve got a ton of dope surprises waiting for you with this one, so get ready to have some fun! Can’t wait to see you guys on the Ninja Nation 2017 tour!” he adds.

Since launching the Datsik brand, Troy Beetles continues to evolve as a solo artist all the while pushing his beloved bass music world to new lengths, both on a personal artistry level and as a genre as a whole. From bedroom producer to chart-topping artist, internationally touring act and owner and founder of the enterprising Firepower Records, Datsik is poised to make bass music the sound of the future.  Datsik took his initial steps into global dominance in 2009 with the Nuke ‘Em and Boom EPs featuring Excision and the legendary Flux Pavilion as collaborators. In that same year, Datsik claimed 10 Beatport #1 releases. Additionally, he has also released massive remixes for dance music icons Skrillex, Diplo, Kaskade, and Zedd, as well as two collaborations with Bassnectar and two more with Diplo on his Express Yourself EP. He has also remixed artists from the mainstream pop world and hip-hop spheres such as Coldplay, Lil Wayne, MGMT, Linkin Park, Wu-Tang Clan, one of the biggest influences on his sound, and, most recently, Lana Del Rey.  Other releases from Datsik’s arsenal include Vitamin D, his debut artist album on Dim Mak Records (2012) and the Cold Blooded EP, the corresponding Let It Burn full-length album on Firepower (2013) and the Darkstar EP (2016).
