Darwin Brewing Company opened its doors across the street from the newly restored McKechnie Field in Bradenton. Having experienced great success with their popular restaurant, Darwin’s, in Sarasota, they also recognized the demand for their innovative crafted beer. Brewed on the premises, they offer a variety of beer created from unusual ingredients. With having contracted to provide McKechnie Field with their locally brewed beer, they will get immeasurable exposure. Located across the street from the ball park, it will be a natural gathering spot for fans, as well as the team. Future plans call for a food truck with Chef Darwin’s renowned Peruvian fare for dining while savoring their tasty beer. With Matt Cornelius, Operations Director, at the helm, talented Chef Darwin Santa Maria, and Brewmaster, Jorge Rosabel, on board, they are sure to be a major hit.

Brewery and Tasting Room Grand Opening, noon to 10 p.m., Sat., May 24
Darwin Brewing Company will feature eight brews on tap inspired by both Peruvian flavors and locally sourced ingredients, plus four guest taps. Local food trucks will be on hand with a Peruvian street food truck coming soon from Darwin’s as well.
Tasting room hours will initially be Thursday and Fridays from 3 to 10 p.m. and weekends from noon to 10 p.m. with brewery tours available noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
