Alberta’s Dan Davidson exploded onto the Canadian country scene in 2016 with the release of his single “Found” (Co-written by Clayton Bellamy of The Road Hammers – Produced by Jeff Dalziel). Dan became arguably the indie story of 2016 as his single rocketed up the charts with “Found” being the #1 Country song on the national charts by an indie artist and shortly after became the #1 selling Canadian country single. “Found” climbed to #16 on the Nielsen BDS Billboard Country chart, was the 8th highest charting Canadian Country song, went top 50 on the Shazam charts across all formats, hit #15 on the iTunes sales charts and the video for “Found” cracked TOP 20 at CMT.
Dan’s highly anticipated follow up single “Barn Burner” (another co-write with Clatyon Bellamy) was released to national Country radio on Monday, October 24 and has already been ADDED to Country playlists across Canada and, after just one week post-release, made the Mediabase MOST ADDED list of songs alongside the hottest charting singles by Canadian and US Country artists.
In only two years of being involved in the country music scene, Dan Davidson’s name can be seen on the charts and on gig posters right next to Brett Kissel, Tim Hicks, Jon Pardi, The Washboard Union, Chad Brownlee, Kira Isabella, and more.
