NASHVILLE, Tenn., – April 26, 2016 –The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum welcomes thousands of country music fans to CMA Music Festival, June 9 to 12. All week, the museum will be packed with activities, presented by Comcast, beginning Monday, June 6, at 3 p.m. with a special appearance by superstar Blake Shelton. Hosted by museum editor Michael McCall, Shelton will discuss his career and perform a short acoustic set.

In addition to Shelton’s appearance in support of the new exhibition Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story, supported by SunTrust, the museum will offer autograph signings, performances and special programs all week as well as a last chance to see the exhibition Flyin’ Saucers Rock & Roll: The Cosmic Genius of Sam Phillips, closing June 12.

The museum is once again offering a bundled ticket option with Fan Fair X. Located inside of the Music City Center, Fan Fair X offers artist interactions, celebrity Q&A sessions, autographs, shopping and much more! The ticket, which includes museum admission (good for single day until December 31, 2016) and four-day access to Fan Fair X is $39.95 and can be purchased at the museum’s box office or online.

Museum admission is not required for autograph signings. However, a purchase of artists’ merchandise from the Museum Store is necessary to participate. All programs are included with museum admission and free to museum members; capacity is limited. A limited number of presale tickets for Shelton’s program will be available to museum members along with Shelton’s fan club members via TicketFly.com beginning at 10 a.m., on May 11. The general public can reserve tickets for Shelton beginning at 10 a.m., May 13. Call 615-416-2001 for more information on all programs.

Hands-on activities in the Taylor Swift Education Center will provide fun for children of all ages. Make a backstage pass from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. Additional family programs include Beginner Fiddle Workshop on Friday, June 10, at 1 p.m. and Guitar 101 on Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m.

Visitors who present their official CMA Music Festival badges or tickets will enjoy special discounts, including $4 off adult general admission to the museum or a $10 discount on museum membership. (No other discounts apply. Not valid on discount packages.) Offers are valid June 6-13, 2016.

In addition to the dining and retail discounts museum members enjoy throughout the year, they can also take advantage of a “fast-pass” ticket line Friday to Sunday of Music Fest.

2|22 will offer its regular lunch schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the museum’s snack bar will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Bajo Sexto Taco will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
