The Community Foundation of Sarasota County
Awards Grant to the Sarasota Concert Association
The $4,500 grant from The Cyril and Dorothy Veinott Memorial Fund, held at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, will help Sarasota Concert Association utilize an online ticketing system.
(Sarasota, FL) The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, through The Cyril and Dorothy Veinott Memorial Fund, recently awarded the Sarasota Concert Association (SCA) a $4,500 grant to help the organization support the utilization and evaluation of a Seat Advisor Box Office (SABO) software and ticketing system.
“We’re very grateful to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for this generous grant,” said Joy McIntyre, SCA’s board president. “We’ve negotiated an agreement with The Sarasota Ballet, which will allow us to utilize their SABO system for the 2014-2015 season. This state-of-the-art software offers online ticketing and will also help us analyze sales patterns, create mailing and email campaigns and manage donation campaigns.”

About the Sarasota Concert Association
The Sarasota Concert Association (SCA) exists to foster the development of an appreciation for the musical arts by sponsoring professional presentations that are not otherwise available in the community, through a not-for-profit, organized-audience plan. SCA aims to set the fees for all performances as reasonably as possible, in order to make the concerts available to as much of the community as possible. The organization is not designed to make a profit but does intend to be self-supporting. It provides outreach to all members of the regional community by offering a series of free concerts, Munchtime Musicales, held from November through April every year.
