A few weeks ago, our friends at Hudson Sutler released theircanvas garment bag.
Now, they’re giving you a reason to use it.
Introducing Fly Figawi, a chartered 737 to Figawi Race Weekend in Massachusetts, now boarding.
Basically, you’re flying to a classy Memorial Day bender in Cape Cod in which 240 boats race from Hyannis to Nantucket.
The odd name allegedly comes courtesy the girlfriend of a sailor who, during the inaugural race in ‘72, allegedly asked “Where the figawi goin’?”
The answer: to parties, clambakes and preppy shenanigans galore.
Fly Figawi’s 737 takes off from Westchester airport Friday evening and returns Monday afternoon.
Onboard: all the gratis cocktails you and your gullet can handle.
Accommodations on ACK are on you, but we suggest the White Elephant — a refreshingly swank alternative to the island’s B&Bs, complete with massive suites, spa and a pool.
Pro tip: for breakfast, journey a bit outside of town to The Downyflake for housemade donuts, linguica and eggs, as well as the best damn blueberry pancakes on Nantucket.
Come Monday you’ll be asking “Why the figawi goin’ home?”
