Every day is a great day to celebrate waterparks, the unique attractions that offer us a cool escape from the summer heat. Waterparks are fun for the entire family and in Florida we have a LOT of options! In Central Florida, people often think of the Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios Florida waterparks … at Authentic Florida, we prefer the natural ones. July 29th is National Chicken Wing Day! We scoured the state to present our favorite spots to enjoy chicken wings. Did you know that chicken wings were first made in Buffalo, New York? This is why they’re sometimes referred to as buffalo wings! In 1977, Buffalo mayor Stan Makowski declared July 29th as National Chicken Wing Day … and since Authentic Floridians love to celebrate quirky holidays, we thought you may want plan a chicken wing outing, curbside pick up or delivery for lunch or dinner tomorrow. A group of 26 African Americans found success as artists in the segregated South of the 1950s. Meet some of these remarkable artists and hear their stories on Saturday, August 1 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. You’ll have an opportunity to purchase their uniquely Florida artwork. Free admission.
