| Meet Rue – Independent Female Seeks Forever Home |
 I am a three year old, independent, full-figured, Manx looking for a family who will love me and all my “quirks.”
I have been told my strong-willed nature can be a little intimidating, but truth be told, I want to find a home that will help me break from my reputation and smooth out all my rough edges. I really am a loving girl, who enjoys cat tree climbing, feather toys and lounging on the patio. | Donor Challenges Community to Match Pledge |
 An anonymous donor has pledged a donation of $10 for every cat adopted at Cat Depot between June and December 2014. The donation will benefit the Friends Like Me Program which provides emergency medical care and treatment to Cat Depot cats and kittens who are sick, injured or have chronic illnesses.
The donor is challenging the community to match the pledge at $10, or for as little as $1.00 per cat, to help with surgery, x-rays, special food and medications.
Since the announcement, several donors have come forward with their own creative pledges! Mighty Lou, caped crusader for Friends Like Me, pledged his cat treat money and will donate $10 for every special needs cat adopted between July 1 through December 31, 2014.
Not to be outdone, Whitey Wobbles and family committed their allowance to give $10 for every cat adopted who is 8 years old or older.
Thank you donors, who have committed to an adoption pledge! You are changing the destiny of homeless cats.
