Known for her comedic and dramatic roles on film, Broadway and most notably on the multiple Emmy award winning “Carol Burnett Show,” which was named one of “100 Best Television Shows of All Time,” Carol Burnett has been honored with Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards, Horatio Alger, Ace and Peabody Awards.
A Kennedy Center Honoree, she has also received the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for Humor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. In 2013 she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A New York Times best-selling author she added playwright to her credits when she and her daughter, Carrie Hamilton, wrote Hollywood Arms, which premiered on Broadway in 2002.
