LOS ANGELES, CA — 5 Seconds of Summer have plenty to celebrate – starting with their much-anticipated self-titled album release today, on Capitol Records. With a collection of global No.1’s already to date, the band continues their U.S. onslaught and announces they will perform for one night only at the Forum in Los Angeles, on Saturday, November 15. In true 5SOS manner, the Aussie quartet invites their loyal fans to join in the festivities: the ticket pre-sale will begin live, at the Forum box office, starting Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 am, and offer another exceptional opportunity for the 5SOS fans to commune and rejoice the week of release.
In addition, the band’s U.S. release week includes a special concert on the TODAY Show plaza on July 22, followed by a full-on block party with ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Thursday, July 24.
This album has already peaked at No.1 globally on iTunes in 71 countries, and has secured more preorders than any other artist in the history of Universal Music Group. Each of the band’s instant grat tracks debuted at No. 1 on iTunes upon release and has continued to outsell one another. The pop-punk sensations are currently on a worldwide tour opening for One Direction, set to hit the U.S. on August 4. Later that month, the band will take the VMA stage for the first time during the “2014 MTV Video Music Awards” on Sunday, August 24th at 9pm ET/PT to perform their new single, “Amnesia.”
ABOUT THE FORUM EVENT:
The Forum is located at 3900 Manchester Blvd., Inglewood CA 90305. The parking lot will open at 3 a.m. Saturday, July 26 (no entries permitted prior to 3 a.m.), with the designated entrance from the Prairie Avenue Gate, just south of Manchester Blvd. Parking will be complimentary.
Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, attendees will be issued wristbands on a first-come–first-serve basis, and be instructed to line up immediately following. There is a four ticket per person purchase limit. Box office will accept VISA, Master Card, AMEX and Discover. Food and water will be available for purchase starting and 7:00 am and parents will have an area to wait on site.
