New York, NY (April 18, 2017)—ZoneMusicReporter recently announced their 2016 Award nominations, which includes Candice Night’s Starlight Starbright (Minstrel Hall Music) for “Best Vocal Album”. Sharing this honor with fellow nominees Enya (Dark Sky Island – Reprise Records / Warner Music), Seay (In The Garden – Tuscan Sun Music), Rebekah Eden (Rowing In Eden – self-released), and 2002 (Celtic Fairy Lullaby – Galatic Playground Music), singer-songwriter Candice Night states “I’m so excited to be nominated for the Best Vocal CD award. This CD, Starlight Starbright, was truly a labor of love, created and inspired during life changing experiences…the birth of my two children.” The award-winning vocalist (also frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist of Blackmore’s Night) released Starlight Starbright in 2016, receiving praise from critics and fans alike. Night crafted this album – a collection of lullabies dedicated to and inspired by her children – as a reflection of her foray into motherhood. “My children were instrumental in the creative process of Starlight Starbright…it was inspired by them and the purity and innocence of childhood”. Beyond the lullabies, the album has an additional layer, as a vehicle for relaxation. Played in spas and schools alike, helping children with hypersensitivity, Starlight Starbright continues to prove its timeless nature, and its ability to connect with all ages. “In My Arms”, off the Starlight Starbright album is currently charting on the iTunes Top 200 Children’s Music Chart in the UK. The winner will be announced at the ZMR Music Award Concert in New Orleans on May 13, 2017. # # # |
