Cameron The Public, a high-energy pop-rock band fueled by the relentless ambition of singer/songwriter Cameron Rafati, will debuted their theme song, “Face Your Destiny” from the Manny Pacquiao documentary, “Manny.” The film will premiered last Saturday, March 8th at SXSW. The video for “Face Your Destiny” was shown directly after the film.

“Manny” is narrated by Academy Award Nominee Liam Neeson and directed by Ryan Moore and Academy Award winner Leon Gast (“When We Were Kings”). “Manny” features original music by Lorne Balfe (Inception, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Sherlock Holmes) and Chad Hugo (The Neptunes/NERD) and includes interviews with Mark Wahlberg, Jimmy Kimmel, Jeremy Piven, Oscar De La Hoya, and other notable celebrities. Watch the official trailer here.

Additionally, Cameron The Public’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror” was featured in the March 6th episode of Grey’s Anatomy (ABC).  The track was produced by J2 and is available on the ABC website.

The band recently released a brand new single and lyric video for “Hazy On The Ground.”  Their next single “Apple Pie” was recently featured on the Huffington Post and “Unstoppable” was used in promo ads for “Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family Channel.

Cameron The Public’s purpose is to use his music and lyrics to empower his fans and enable them to face the daily challenges of life. There is a bigger purpose, and he delivers his message in a fun and entertaining way.

No college classes or day job could get in the way of Cameron’s true mission in life– creating genre-bending, blues funk-rock with tinges of country and vintage R&B.  Cameron The Public’s music is a must for fans of everything from the uplifting rock-tinged hip-hop of Michael Franti and Spearhead to the modern blues mastery of Robert Randolph.

Cameron The Public’s incredibly tight live band has been playing shows since meeting in LA in 2010. They are Douglas Showalter (Guitar), Bana Haffar (Bass), Peter Dyer (Keys) and Emmanuel Cervantez (Drums). Together they have opened for a diverse group of national acts including: Fitz and the Tantrums, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, Goo Goo Dolls, Sean Kingston, Vintage Trouble and The Parlotones.
