Ben Rector will kick off “The Biggest Tour I Have Done So Far” on August 24 at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, OH. The extensive headline run will include shows at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, TN (August 27), Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA (September 30) and the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL (October 21). It will conclude at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN on October 23.
Pre-sale tickets will be available to Spotify subscribers. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 24.
Rector will perform on “LIVE With Kelly” on July 12. Achieving remarkable success as an independent artist, he has sold more than 390,000 albums and nearly four million digital tracks in the course of his career. His latest album, Brand New (Aptly Named Recordings), debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. It topped the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Albums chart and peaked at No. 3 on the overall iTunes Albums chart.
The buoyant title track, which describes the elation of re-capturing the energy and innocence of his youth, is a Top 10 hit at Adult Top 40. SiriusXM’s The Pulse was the first station to add the song, which has since gained airplay in all 50 major markets. “Brand New” has also recently entered the Top 40 chart at #35 on Pop radio, where it’s already being spun by more than 70 stations nationwide. The fan compilation video for “Brand New” can be seen HERE and the song can be heard in the trailer for The Fundamentals of Caring, a Netflix original film that premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival releasing June 24. “Brand New” has also been licensed by the History Channel, Nat Geo Wild and such television shows as “The View,” “American Idol” and “The Voice.”
