GRAMMY®-nominated U.K. band Bastille pays a visit to the States this week – performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” tonight and heading to Chicago thereafter for a sold-out show at the Vic Theatre on July 27 and a performance at Lollapalooza on Thursday, July 28. Other summer festival appearances include Osheaga in Montreal and the U.K.’s V Festival and Bestival. See below for itinerary.Bastille’s Glastonbury set drew one of the largest crowds of the festival and was praised by NME as “a masterclass in how to win Glastonbury.”
The Guardian hailed “Good Grief” – the first single from the band’s forthcoming album, Wild World – as a “great summer festival anthem.” Idolator observed, “Bastille is making a play for the Song of the Summer crown…with [its] bouncy, wistful melody, the track has the potential to easily dominate the pop radio waves in the months to come.”
“Good Grief” is already a Top 10 hit at Alternative and Triple A radio in the U.S. In the U.K., the track was added straight to the Radio 1 A list, reached No. 1 on Apple Music’s Hot Tracks chart and topped the Shazam chart. It’s also charted on Spotify’s Global, U.S. and U.K. Charts.Views for the surrealistic “Good Grief” video, which can be seen HERE , now exceed two million.

Wild World (Virgin Records) – the follow-up to Bastille’s debut album, Bad Blood, which has sold more than four million albums worldwide alongside 11 million singles – will be released on September 9. Fans who pre-order Wild World digitally HERE will instantly receive “Good Grief.”

Written by Dan Smith and co-produced with Mark Crew, Wild World is a collection of 14 songs (19 on the deluxe edition) that finds Bastille at their boldest and most daring.

Smith started Bastille alone in his bedroom five years ago, releasing 300 copies of debut single “Flaws/Icarus.” Joined by Chris Wood (drums), Will Farquarson (guitar) and Kyle Simmons (keyboards), the band line-up was complete. Bastille’s debut album, Bad Blood, contained the 5x Platinum single “Pompeii” and the Gold-certified tracks “Bad Blood” and “Flaws.” “Pompeii” topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Adult Alternative Songs charts and peaked at No. 3 on the Pop Songs chart.
