GARNERS THREE MILLION VIEWS IN FIRST WEEK

NEW ALBUM ‘JUNTO’ AVAILABLE AUGUST 25
ON ATLANTIC JAXX/PIAS

Asthe legendary producer duo Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe–known as BASEMENT JAXX–gear up for the August 25 release of their latest studio album JUNTO (Atlantic Jaxx/PIAS), their current single “Never Say Never” has received a charged-up rework available now at iTunes. Tiësto and MOTi come together for a very special remix with “Never Say Never (Tiësto & MOTi Remix),” lending their explosive dance floor talents to the critically acclaimed track.  “…the two Dutch producers impart a big room outburst on their rendition,” wrote Aaron Berecz of Dancing Astronaut (July 27).  “Light percussion keeps the groove resonating as the original’s soulful vocals serenade the breakdown… all before a melodic surge manifests itself and leads to a monstrous electro plateau.“

Meanwhile, BASEMENT JAXX a week ago premiered the innovative video for the album version of “Never Say Never” presenting the TW3RK-BOT1.0 robot; it has already garnered three million views, receiving a wide range of support from the likes of VEVO, Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles Times, TechCrunch, Pitchfork, Stereogum and Billboard, just to name a few.  The storied “Never Say Never” video—created by BASEMENT JAXX in conjunction with celebrated Sci-Fi short film director Saman Kesh (Calvin Harris, Placebo, Vitalic)–captures JAXX Industries in their zealous effort to bring dancing back to mankind via twerking by creating the futuristic TW3RK-BOT1.0.

JUNTO marks the duo’s seventh studio album–and the title, which translates from Spanish as together, sums up the spirit of the record and the very essence of the JAXX’s desire to unify people with their music. “With this album,” says Felix Buxton, “we wanted to do something that felt more at one with the world.” This approach is reflected in the titles of “Power To The People,” “We Are Not Alone” and “Love Is At Your Side,” as well as the throwback fun of “What’s The News” and “Sneakin’ Toronto.”

This past Friday, the JAXX appeared at the Fuji Rock festival in Japan. This weekend they will appear at the Umbria Rock Festival in Italy followed by Camp Bestival in the U.K.  and then it’s back to Ibiza for their monthly DJ residency.   They will return stateside February 18-21, 2015 for the HARD HOLY SHIP! electronic music cruise.
